Hi! My name is Alina Dorion. I’m a journalism and music double major at Drake University in Des Moines, IA.

I currently work for the Drake University Archives & Special Collections. During my time at the archives so far, I’ve transcribed oral histories, inventoried collections, and have helped facilitate public access to Drake University records through preservation and collection.

After graduation, I hope to go to graduate school for library science and/or to continue my music studies.

As both a journalism and music major, I’m good at time management, can communicate effectively, and am committed to always seeing projects through.

In the past, I’ve interned at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library, writing, taking photos, and completing various social media projects for the marketing department.
